Bruce Greenspan was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1952 and raised in Jacksonville, where he attended public schools, graduating from high school in 1970. After receiving his B.S. degree (with high honors) from the University of Florida in 1974, Bruce received his J.D. (law), degree from the University of Florida College of Law, Holland Law Center, with honors, in 1976, and was admitted to The Florida Bar as a practicing attorney in May, 1977.
Bruce began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in the Office of the Public Defender, Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida (Jacksonville), in January, 1977, defending persons charged with crimes ranging from DWI to robbery and murder. He left the Public Defender’s Office in June, 1979, as Felony Division Chief, having tried cases to jury verdict on the average of once a month throughout his tenure.

Since June, 1979, Bruce has been engaged in private law practice in Jacksonville, initially as a solo practitioner, then in partnership as Greenspan & Goodstein, Attorneys at Law, then as Greenspan, Goodstein & Link, Attorneys at Law, representing individuals and families in all manner of litigation, including criminal defense, marital and family law, and personal injury cases. Since 1985, Bruce J. Greenspan Attorney and Counselor at Law (incorporated as Bruce J. Greenspan, P.A. in 1990) has been dedicated to representing individuals in claims involving serious bodily injury and/or wrongful death.
After completing the forty-hour Circuit Civil Mediation Training course offered by the Florida Mediation Academy in May, 1998, Bruce Greenspan was certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Court Mediator in April, 2001.

Keene v. Chicago Bridge and Iron Company--$400,000 verdict for a man who sustained traumatic fingertip amputations on a construction site when a sandblaster fell on his hand. McKee v. Lucas Imports, Inc. d/b/a Steve Lucas Honda - jury verdict for man who, after injuries in a motorcycle accident and extensive surgery, was informed by his employer that the health insurance premiums deducted from his paycheck had been a "mistake" and were really for "shop uniforms", and was further informed that he had no health insurance.
Confidential policy-limits settlement for a twelve-year-old girl struck in the eye when she was accidentally shot by her fifteen-year-old cousin wielding a CO2 cartridge pellet pistol.

Fergus v. Aeschbach, d/b/a Panama Hatties - jury verdict for a woman who sustained injury on a defective nightclub dance floor when she twisted her knee while dancing in a slip and fall-type accident.
Confidential policy-limits settlement for a man struck in the eye by a golf ball which ricocheted off a tree when he and his brother were hitting balls in the brother’s backyard.

Battersby v. O’Berry - significant confidential settlement for a fifteen-year-old unlicensed driver who, while skipping school with a friend, pulled out in front of a large truck transporting pulpwood and was struck broadside at the driver’s door, causing serious orthopedic injury and mild brain damage.
